FORECAST:
Today starts quietly with sunshine and high humidity that gives way to spotty thunderstorms this afternoon. Storms today are not likely to be severe, but downpours can create localized flooding. There's a lot of moisture in the atmosphere.
The front passes through today from 2 p.m. through 2 a.m. with scattered showers. It turns quiet again tomorrow morning as the atmosphere builds the energy for storms again. These storms will develop once again by 2 p.m. and move across the state as a line through 8 p.m. These storms will be stronger on Tuesday. A total of 3 inches of water is possible in the worst of the downpours between today and tomorrow. Most locations that see the downpours will see just about 1 inch of rain.
The humidity drops for Wednesday, and the weather turns perfect and gorgeous to finish the week. High temperatures hover near 90 degrees and the mostly sunny conditions prevail through the weekend. How lucky!
