Sunshine and warm temperatures today bake clouds in the atmosphere this afternoon. These clouds swell to produce scattered rain showers, especially over the hills of northern and northwestern New Jersey. These areas will have the best chances for seeing a shower today after 2 p.m.

Rain spreads across the state overnight into tomorrow morning and causes area flooding into the morning. The rain turns lighter and scattered into the afternoon and evening.

The last batch of rain moves out Saturday early morning where the weather turns gorgeous.
