FORECAST
The weather turns breezy and sunny today, and a bit cloudier for Christmas Day, but it will stay dry.
There is growing confidence in a winter storm that could bring accumulating snow to western Connecticut Friday night. Temperatures look cold enough by that point, and there could be a strong fetch of moisture as an area of low pressure slides to our south.
Forecast models have trended slightly colder today with a bit less moisture than earlier runs, but there is still a lot of uncertainty about the storm’s track, and things could change back and forth.
Currently, there is a greater than 50% chance of more than 3 inches of snow in the area. This could impact holiday travel Friday night and Saturday.

Christmas on Thursday will feature more clouds to start, with seasonable temperatures in the mid-40s.
