A Stamford man was charged in connection to a deadly vehicle crash that killed a 12-year-old boy on Aug. 2, according to officials.
Brisley Reyes died when he was struck while riding a minibike and thrown into a yard on 316 Courtland Avenue.
Juan Carlos Umana-Umana, 41, was driving a 2004 Honda Accord and fled from the scene following the crash, officials say.
Officials were able to identify the suspect, and evidence was obtained in result of an arrest warrant.
Police say Umana-Umana turned himself in at the Stamford Police Headquarters, where he was presented with the arrest warrant on Oct. 27.
Umana-Umana is facing several charges and was released on a $200,000 bond.
His court date is scheduled for Nov. 10.
