Stamford-based Americares says it has teams on standby and ready to deploy to help with Hurricane Milton relief.
This comes after Americares deployed about a dozen team members to respond to Hurricane Helene.
The organization's emergency response team says it reached out to hundreds of its partner clinics in Florida.
"We can all remember Hurricane Katrina from 20 years ago and people still recovering from that," Provash Budden, of Americares says. "We really focus on those that are in low-income communities that can't get back up on their feet as quickly."
