A local baseball team is raising money to help keep its season alive.
For a third consecutive year, the Stamford 18U Thunder has earned a spot in this year’s Babe Ruth World Series.
The team says it’s been collecting donations, both online and outside local businesses in Stamford.
Manager Jon Calo says it’s the final fundraising push for a team ready to represent Stamford on the world stage.
“We can’t say enough about the Stamford community. Just to get these boys out there to Missouri, we’ll be out there for about nine or 10 days, any support the community can give us would be greatly appreciated.”
The team leaves for Missouri Wednesday morning. To donate, click here.
