A Southampton man has pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of a deadly crash in Hampton Bays.

Prosecutors say Benjamin Sheen-Waltzer, 34, struck a 67-year-old man walking along a neighborhood roadway in March 2024.

The victim was taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center and pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

A broken ”M” from the emblem of a GMC vehicle was discovered among debris at the scene.

Surveillance footage of a pickup truck with the letter missing and front-end damage helped investigators ultimately track down Sheen-Waltzer.

He is due back in court on Nov. 16.
