A Rockville Centre school was named as one of the top Long Island high schools, according to the latest rankings by U.S. News and World Report.

South Side High School was listed No. 8 overall in New York state.

North Shore Senior High School came in at 11th and Locust Valley High School came in at 14, rounding out the top three high schools in Nassau County.

Commack High School was Suffolk County's top-ranked high school, ranking, 12th in the state.

Pierson Middle and High School (13th) and Hauppauge (15th) rounded out Suffolk's County's top three high schools.
