A carbon monoxide leak at 1124 Stratford Ave. sent first responders to the building after several residents reported feeling dizzy, according to FDNY.
EMS crews evaluated 10 patients at the scene.
Three were taken to hospitals, while seven were treated on site.
One patient was tagged orange due to a pre-existing heart condition. The others were classified as green, indicating minor symptoms.
No patient ages were provided.
Fire units recorded elevated carbon monoxide levels of about 600 ppm, prompting the evacuation of 44 apartments and the transmission of a full box alarm.
The situation was declared under control a short time later.
The leak appears to have stemmed from a defective oil burner, which had recently been serviced.
The Department of Buildings is on scene conducting an inspection, with a final determination to come once that review is complete. Tenants were allowed back into the building.
