A Long Island actor from "The Sopranos" is mourning the death of fellow cast member Vincent Pastore.

Joseph R. Gannascoli, of East Rockaway, said Pastore is “loved by many worldwide” and respected by actors everywhere.

While Gannascoli and Pastore both acted on "The Sopranos," they didn’t have scenes together.

Gannascoli said he and Pastore worked on other projects together and described Pastore as a “very talented actor” who was proud of his Italian heritage.

Pastore was discovered in his City Island home on Saturday. He was 80 years old.
