The largest weekly open-air food market in America has returned to Brooklyn.
Sunday marked the first day of the 2026 season for Smorgasburg. The food and drink bazaar has vendors from across the city partake.
“Smorgasburg is all about community, you get all the neighborhood people," said Gabi, the co-founder of Chocolate on Tap.
Sunday's rain didn't stop Brooklyn residents from enjoying the first day of the food festival.
“It’s good to see different restaurants different cultures, love it," said Alan, a Bushwick resident.
The festival that runs from April to October had some familiar faces return this year.
“This is our fourth season. As a small business Smorgasburg gives us access to a lot of people to test our product, test our offerings," said Ras Omeil Morgan, founder of Rolle Drinks Corporation.
You can take part in Smorgasburg every Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Prospect Park.
