The Sleepy Hollow Horsemen wrapped up their season Saturday in a loss to Monroe in their first state football championship game ever up in Syracuse.
Parents and students, however, say the community has a lot of pride and they were ready to show up for the team.
"Walking away from today's game win or lose, we're proud of them, we're proud of the boys, we're proud of the coaches, we're proud of the cheerleaders, the community, the families that have all come together this season," said mother Tonya Richardson.
The team won their first Section 1 title since 1978 this past November.
