The remains of three people were found at a home at 7 Stanwich Lane in Burlington on Sunday, according to Connecticut State Police.
Troopers said a new homebuyer called police around 4:46 p.m. Sunday to report finding skeletal remains inside the home.
The buyer purchased the home “as is” at a foreclosure auction.
A cause of death has not been determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The identities of the individuals also have not been confirmed.
State police are investigating but said they do not believe there is anything suspicious or criminal about the discovery, or the manner in which the individuals died.
Authorities said this is an isolated incident with no danger to the public.
