Fall festivities return to Six Flags Great Adventure this weekend as Kids Boo Fest and Oktoberfest kick off a season of Halloween fun, family activities, and German-inspired food and drinks. Kids Boo Fest and Oktoberfest both begin Saturday and run on select dates through Nov. 1, with activities for both included in the price of park permission. For younger guests, Kids Boo Fest transforms the park into a family-friendly Halloween celebration. In addition to trick-or-treating, visitors can enjoy themed activities, games, live entertainment, and more. Kids are also encouraged to wear their favorite costumes to make the day even more festive. As part of Oktoberfest, guests can sample German-inspired favorites such as sauerbraten, knockwurst and bratwurst served on pretzel buns, cheesy spaetzle, German potato salad, pierogies, and pretzels with beer cheese. Guests 21 and older can pair their meal with a stein of seasonal beer, with selections ranging from Samuel Adams Oktoberfest to Paulaner Munich Lager. The park will also offer a free "Bring-a-Friend" weekend, allowing passholders to redeem one complimentary ticket at any park turnstile or ticket sales window at their home park. "Fall is one of the most enjoyable times of the year to visit Great Adventure," said Mike Fehnel, park president of Six Flags Great Adventure. "Whether families are enjoying Kids Boo Fest, sampling Oktoberfest favorites or riding their favorite coaster, there's something for everyone to experience. These seasonal events add another layer of fun to an already incredible day at the park." Fright Fest returns the following weekend on select nights from Sept. 18 through Nov. 1, featuring the park's biggest fright-filled lineup yet. Four new haunted mazes will debut this year, including "JASON: Blood Reign," based on the Friday the 13th franchise, and "Final Destination: Death's Playground."
