A shelter-in-place order was lifted Saturday morning in Bridgewater after a heavy police presence was spotted in the neighborhood.
The order was issued around 9 p.m. Wednesday, urging residents to avoid the area along Hill Lane. The Somerset County Prosecutor's Office said it was investigating one home on that street but declined to provide details.
Officials said that there was no threat to the public and confirmed on Saturday that the situation has been resolved.
Bridgewater students were cleared to go to school, but authorities urged families to avoid Hill Lane. As of Saturday morning, the road remains closed.
