Residents in a Seaford neighborhood are complaining about a rat infestation.

They say the problem has gotten worse over the past year, and they’re even seeing them during the day.

One resident said they’ve set traps all over the backyard and have caught at least 30 of the rodents. But the problem isn’t going away.

“I finally got a pool in my backyard,” Maria Jeremenk said. “And we swim, and we see rats. It’s not pleasant. My grandkids are scared. And my neighbor’s dog kills them and brings them to her.”

Neighbors say the entire cul-de-sac has had exterminators come in to set bait boxes.

They’ve also reached out to the town and are expecting an inspector soon.
