Drivers in Yonkers should prepare for delays and detours as paving work closes a busy exit on the Saw Mill River Parkway.
Exit 7, which connects drivers to Tuckahoe Road near Rossiter Avenue, is closed for a paving project.
The work is expected to continue through Friday, Sept. 11, between 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The exit is commonly used by drivers heading toward Ridge Hill and Route 9A.
State Department of Transportation crews and vehicles are stationed along the exit ramp as work continues.
Drivers are encouraged to follow posted detour signs and allow extra travel time.
Officials are also reminding motorists to slow down and move over when approaching construction zones.
