A Saddle Brook man is accused of burning a woman and leaving her stranded in a wooded area in Plumsted Township.
Ocean County prosecutors say 36-year-old Justin Martin is responsible for the woman's burns and smoke inhalation that occurred on Oct 15.
First responders found the woman near Hawkin Road and Success Road just after 1:30 p.m. after receiving a 911 call.
The woman was taken to Temple University Burn Center in Philadelphia, where she is in stable condition.
Authorities say Martin fled the scene in a vehicle, leaving the woman behind. Detectives located and arrested him in Asbury Park shortly after midnight on Oct 16.
Martin has been charged with attempted murder and aggravated arson. He is being held at the Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.
