Runners flock to The Bronx for annual New York Road Runners 10-mile race

The course began on the Grand Concourse, stretched to Mosholu Parkway and ended near Yankee Stadium, where friends and family cheered participants with signs and encouragement.

Streets around the Grand Concourse were closed Sunday morning as more than 12,000 runners took part in the annual New York Road Runners Bronx 10-Mile race.
The course began on the Grand Concourse, stretched to Mosholu Parkway and ended near Yankee Stadium, where friends and family cheered participants with signs and encouragement.
Top finishers completed the 10 miles in about 50 minutes.
The event is one of several borough races organized by New York Road Runners each year.
