A major detour around the Meadowlands is now underway as a key service road in Rutherford closes for construction.
The Route 3 and Route 17 service road is closed in both directions between Bergen Logistics and the Extended Stay hotel.
Officials say the closure is expected to remain in place through October.
The shutdown is needed so crews can replace a drainage pipe in the area.
Drivers are being advised to plan for detours and allow extra travel time while the work is completed.
