The woman was driving on Route 1 South near the intersection of New Road when she struck the back of a tractor-trailer around 2:25 a.m., according to police.

1h agoSouth Brunswick police say a 24-year-old woman from Trenton died following a crash with a tractor-trailer on Route 1 early this morning.
The woman was driving on Route 1 South near the intersection of New Road when she struck the back of a tractor-trailer around 2:25 a.m., according to police.
A third vehicle, also traveling south on Route 1, then struck the rear of the woman's vehicle.
The tractor-trailer involved in the crash left the scene, and the incident remains under active investigation.
The woman was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
