Music fans are honoring the 30th anniversary of “Reasonable Doubt,” the debut album of Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter.
Roc Nation unveiled its pop-up event on Wednesday at 92 Plymouth St. in Dumbo. It is a partnership with Apple Music that features music, merchandise, food and more.
“It’s the starting point of celebrating the full career,” said Krystian Santini, president of Roc Nation distribution.
But the pop-up event, which runs through July 5, is about more than an album. It marks the music history of the Brooklyn-born hip-hop legend.
“He’s the No. 1 representative for Brooklyn globally on the music stage,” said Santini. “He carries Brooklyn with him wherever he goes.”
The pop-up is part of a series of events honoring Jay-Z.
“[Jay-Z] always feels like he’s representing for Brooklyn, so I would say it’s a great way to commemorate the city and its contribution to music,” said Santini.
