Red Bull New York has unveiled its newest, and perhaps cutest, teammate: Harrison, a black Labrador retriever service dog puppy.
Harrison was introduced during a press conference Monday at the team’s Morris County practice facility. He was named after Harrison, New Jersey, the home of Sports Illustrated Stadium, where Red Bull New York plays its home matches.
Harrison joined the team through a partnership with Financial Resources Federal Credit Union and was trained by
America’s VetDogs, a nonprofit that provides service dogs to veterans, first responders and people with hearing or vision loss.
“It’s part of our DNA, giving back to the community and really supporting veterans. This was important to us,” said Marc de Grandpré, president and general manager of Red Bull New York. “We’re proud to partner with America’s VetDogs to make this happen.”
