FORECAST:
Today's storm is not bad, merely a nuisance as a light to moderate round of snow and rain is expected across the state.
Winds are light from the southwest, picking up to 20 mph by the mid-afternoon. This will drive milder air through the coastal plain, bringing temperatures up to 46 degrees.
Rain/snow arrives on the western border of the state by noon today, slowly moving eastward, reaching Bergen County by 1 p.m. It takes its time getting to Monmouth & Ocean counties, arriving near 4 p.m. - 5 p.m. as rain. It begins to end north and west near 6 p.m. It ends down the shore by 9 p.m.
Tomorrow turns very windy, with gusts near 25-35 mph. These gusts will make the air feel very cold even though the air temperatures will already be in the mid-30s. It remains breezy on Friday with passing clouds.
It stays mostly cloudy Saturday, too.
We continue to watch Sunday where a passing clipper system may graze through New Jersey leaving behind a light dusting of snow. Totals are tough to pinpoint right now, but the impact does not look major but can disrupt midday travel in some spots. More will unfold after today's weather passes through.
