Residents held a protest in Bridgeport Saturday night in the wake of the officer-involved shooting that resulted in the death of a 39-year-old man.
Demonstrators gathered at the Margaret E. Morton Government Center before marching to the Bridgeport Police Department.
The protest happened day after the Connecticut Inspector General released an initial report which revealed that Dyshan Best was holding a gun.
"So we're here to support the family, knowing that the young man was still shot in the back, and we want to wait for the investigation's conclusion before we can come to any other conclusion in reference to what really happened...we are just really marching for justice," said Lyle Hassan Jones, of Bridgeport.
Protestors say they're reserving judgment until they see the final report.
