Program provides college support for students aging out of foster care system
The Administration of Child Services says the College Choice program is designed for students who are aging out of the foster care system and need support in their journey through college.

Ashley Pierre, 20, says her life changed when she was placed in the foster care system in the eighth grade.
She says although her situation at home changed, her desire to go to college did not.
The Administration of Child Services says the College Choice program is designed for students who are aging out of the foster care system and need support in their journey through college.
Ina Mendez, a part of the ACS, says the program "provides tuition reimbursement up to $15,000, covers housing costs for the students in foster care and also provides a yearly $60 daily stipend."
The ACS says since the program's inception in 2022, the program has grown.
It now helps over 400 students.
Pierre says she's excited for the future.
