Welcome back to power and politics. President elect Donald Trump continuing to build his administration in the months before his term begins with many of his picks having ties to New York. Former New York Representative Lee Zeldin has been tapped to head the environmental protection agency. Trump says Zeldin will balance both helping businesses with fair and swift deregulation while also maintain high environmental standards. And President elect Trump has offered New York Republican Representative Elise Stefanik the job as us ambassador to the United Nations. Stefanik has been a strong ally of Trump and a major fundraiser for the GOP and Trump choosing Robert F. Kennedy Junior as his health and human services secretary. He released a statement earlier this week about the appointment. Kennedy will need to go through the confirmation process which might draw some pushback from Senate Republicans who have issues with his stance against vaccines ahead of his appointment. News Twelve's Tower Rosenbloom sat down with RFK Junior earlier this year where they discussed some of those controversial stances at length. Would you relax the educational requirements for the most rudimentary vaccines like measles polio smallpox? What I would do is to immediately do li controlled uh uh trials. First of all, nobody takes smallpox vaccines um anymore. And you know, any smallpox no longer exists because I have in our bio weapons labs and I would get rid of those cultures. Um But uh I would, you know, the problem with a lot of the vaccine with all of the vaccines is they've never been adequately safety tested. Vaccines are um are exempt from pre-licensing safety testing. And the reason for that is that it's a uh it's a historical artifact of the fact that uh the CDC and the public health services were quasi military agencies and the vaccine. Uh uh The vaccine program was launched as a national security defense against biological attacks on our country. The regulators wanted to be able to, if the Russians attacked us with anthrax or some other biological agent, they wanted to be able to, to, to create and deploy a vaccine very, very quickly without regulatory impediments. And they said if we call it a medicine, we're going to have to do uh placebo controlled trials on it. And that takes five years because there's a lot of effects of all medicines including vaccines that have long incubation periods, long diagnostic horizon. So you want to be able to see a picture of what ha if, if the people, you may protect people from the target disease, but then they may be dying of brain tumors or they may have neurological injuries or, or or epilepsy five years from now and you wanna see that picture and make sure that you're not causing more, you're not causing more problems than you're averting. And that's what we do with every other medicine, but with uh vaccines because of this historical scenario, um we exempt, they said, well, OK, we're not. If we call them medicine, we're gonna have to do this long term testing. So we'll call them biologics and we will exempt biologics from safety testing by policy. And so I for a couple of years, for many years, I was saying that none of the 72 doses of vaccines now required for our Children have ever been safety tested prior to licensure. Got it. Fauci and other people in the government were saying that's not true. Of course, they're safety testing. So I met with um with uh doctor Fauci Trump, you know, originally when they were going to do a accident safety commission, President Trump forced him and, and uh Francis Collins to meet with me and a group of other people. And I said to them during that meeting, you've for many years said that these vaccines are safety tested. Can you show me one preening safety test for any of the vaccines? And he was unable to do so? And he said I will send you them, which he never did. So we filed a suit against HHS and said, show us one safety test for any of the 72 vaccines. And after a year of stonewalling, they finally acknowledged and their acknowledgment is posted on our web page on ch children's health defense web page. They finally acknowledged not a safety test. And so you need to, we need to do adequate safety testing. And let me give you just an example of why the the most popular vaccine in the world today is the DTP vaccine is diphtheria tetanus and pertussis. And that is a vaccine that um was given in this country. It was, but it had, it had tremendous safety problems. One out of every 300 Children according to the NIH Zone study by UCL A was being killed or, or suffering severe brain damage. We stopped using it in the United States and Europe, but we still give it to through who and Bill Gates, 100 and 61 million African Children. Uh The Gates Foundation claims that 30 million lives have been saved. They went to the Danish government and said we've saved 30 million lives. Will you fund this program? And the Danish government said show us the data they were unable. So the Danish government went to West Africa where it was 30 years of data and they did a study using the most prestigious scientists in the world. And in the end of that study, what they found was that that vaccine was protecting Children from Diphtheria tetanus and pertussis. But girls who got that vaccine were dying at 10 times the rate of Children who were unvaccinated. And what they realized is the vaccine was protecting these Children from the target disease, but it had ruined their immune system and they were dying of pulmonary illnesses of, of anemia, of sepsis of bilharzia, uh uh malaria and all these other common infections, which their body can no longer. And we need to know with each vaccine whether there are side effects that nobody's noticing that was going on for 30 years. And nobody noticed that it was only the vaccinated Children who were dying of these. And I want to pivot off the topic of vaccines, but just to pinpoint. So I understand you would keep the vaccines mandatory, but introduce the blinds and research or I would have, you would not have mandatory vaccines. No, I would, I think parents need to have a choice and coming up, the mayor wants his trial to start sooner and there is a specific reason why we have the update in that case when power and politics returns.

Welcome back to power and politics. Mayor Eric Adams wants to move up the start of his trial on corruption and bribery charges. We're learning that Adams is petitioning for it to kick off on April 1st instead of April 23rd. As currently planned, Adams attorney Alex Spyro sent a letter to the federal judge asking for the move so the mayor can focus on his campaign for re election this spring at this time. No word on the judge's response. But the letter confirms that Mayor Adams still has every intention to continue in his role even after many, even some in his own party have called on him to step down. Meanwhile, there will likely be a new district attorney prosecuting the mayor's case next year. That's because President elect Donald Trump has nominated Jay Clayton as us attorney for the southern district of New York. Clayton was the Chairman US Securities and Exchange Commission during Trump's first presidential term, Clayton would be replacing Damien Williams who is currently prosecuting mayor adams' bribery case as well as rapper P Diddy's sex trafficking case. Meanwhile, the mayor addressing the migrant crisis here in the city in light of the presidential election results. He says it was a defi uh deciding factor at the polls as he awaits the actions of the incoming administration. The voters communicated loudly and clearly we have a broken immigration system. It needs to be fixed. That's the only conversation I want is broken, it needs to be fixed and New York City was devastated by that broken system. 220,000 migrants and asylum seekers have made their way here. No financial assistance from the administration. He went on to say that the city has already paid $200 million to manage the crisis. The New York City Council voted to approve a revised plan to a controversial proposal to rezone Franklin Avenue. It will allow for a 10 degree slope on the new development which would allow the necessary sunlight to reach the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, plant nursery and other crucial areas while it is a win for the gardens. Not everyone was happy with the vote. Hundreds of construction workers joined the building and construction trades Council of Greater New York to rally for the original plan. The building is now proposed to include 355 apartments. Governor Kathy Hope has enacted a statewide burn ban due to increased fire risk prohibiting outdoor fires statewide. There are exceptions for backyard fire pits and contained campfires less than 3 ft in height and 4 ft in length as well as small contained cooking fires. The governor has deployed a multi agency response to the wildfires burning across New York State. That burn ban is in effect through the end of November.
