Tom Kean Jr., who's on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, fired-off a letter to the heads of JCP&L and PSE&G calling on the companies to explain why power restoration took so long.
Gov. Mikie Sherrill signed an energy reform package, which she says will save ratepayers $1 billion annually. The bills aim to eliminate unnecessary utility incentives that increase electricity costs. They also include a $25 credit to all 3.6 million New Jersey utility customers and an additional $150 credit to lower and moderate income families.
