A crash involving downed power lines caused traffic problems in Darien and temporarily closed part of Post Road.

Police had closed the section of Post Road between Noroton Avenue and Rings End Road because of the crash. That stretch of roadway has since reopened.

Drivers were urged to avoid the area while crews responded to the scene.
