The debate over New Jersey's iconic breakfast protein returns to Somerset County on Saturday as food lovers gather for the Pork Roll vs. Taylor Ham Food and Music Festival.
Hosted by MegaBite Events at Iron Peak Sports & Events, the festival brings together local food vendors, trucks, and musicians to celebrate the state's most famous culinary divide.
Garden State residents have argued for generations over what to call the processed pork product, with North Jersey traditionally sticking to the brand name Taylor ham and South Jersey favoring the generic term pork roll.
Attendees will have the chance to sample a variety of specialty dishes featuring the state staple and weigh in on the battle to determine which name reigns supreme in Hillsborough.
