An Allenhurst woman is facing charges after she allegedly assaulted a girl on the Point Pleasant Beach boardwalk.

Police say the incident happened on July 3. They say Kaitlyn Tracey started to yell at the victim over “patriotic colored sweatpants with political wording.”

Police say Tracey is then seen on video striking the victim once to the body and once to the face with an open hand. They say that Tracey then left the area.

Police were eventually able to identify Tracey as the alleged suspect and took her into custody on July 13. She was charged with simple assault, endangering the welfare of a child, harassment and obstruction.
