        Police: Suspect wanted in violent Uniondale robbery arrested hours later for arson

        Detectives say Christian Hall attempted to leave the Sunoco on Hempstead Turnpike without paying for two items around 2 a.m. and then assaulted an employee who tried to stop him.

        A suspect wanted for a violent gas station robbery Friday in Uniondale was arrested hours later for committing arson inside a warming center, according to police.
        Detectives say Christian Hall attempted to leave the Sunoco on Hempstead Turnpike without paying for two items around 2 a.m. and then assaulted an employee who tried to stop him.
        At 8:15 a.m., he was arrested at the Mitchel Field Athletic Complex for allegedly starting a fire inside the bathroom.
        He is scheduled to be arraigned on numerous charges on Sunday.
