East Ridge Middle School in Ridgefield became the latest school to be the victim of a swatting incident.
Police, along with Superintendent Susie Da Silva, say at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, the district received an anonymous message through their Say Something app that claimed there were explosives at the school.
The school was put on a HOLD protocol while officers, state police officers and K-9s and Stamford police responded.
Once the HOLD was lifted, the school returned to its normal schedule.
Officials say no threats or explosives were found, and the threat was determined to be noncredible. Police say there is no threat to the public.
Police are investigating and say the incident is similar to ones that have happened this week at middle schools across the state.
