Trumbull police arrested six men after they fled from a stolen car on Riverbend Road around 4 a.m. Wednesday.
Monroe police had alerted officers that the vehicle was involved in late-night thefts from cars in their town and was last seen heading south on Monroe Turnpike near Route 25 into Trumbull.
Trumbull police say one suspect was caught immediately after the car became disabled near the Route 25 exit ramp to Park Street. Later Wednesday morning, officers and detectives located the remaining five suspects hiding near Vista Place and Daniels Farm Road.
Police determined that numerous vehicles were entered overnight in neighborhoods in both Monroe and Trumbull and recovered several stolen items, including credit cards. The vehicle was found to have been stolen recently from the town of Orange.
The suspects, all Bridgeport residents, were identified as 21-year-old Aden Garrett, 20-year-old Maleeik Medina, his twin brother Shaheem Medina, 18-year-old Paldino Henry, and two male juveniles.
All were charged with possession of stolen credit cards, motor vehicle theft, burglary, and other offenses.
The four adults will be arraigned in Bridgeport Superior Court on March 26. The two juveniles were referred to juvenile court and released.
Garrett was held on a $100,000 bond due to his failure to appear in a prior weapons case in Bridgeport.
