Police say a 61-year-old driver hit him while making a left turn onto Division Avenue from Hempstead Turnpike Sunday around 5 p.m.
As News 12 has reported, it’s an area known to be a problem after several other crashes over the years.
Both drivers were hospitalized. The motorcyclist died. The driver is expected to recover.
Neither person has been identified by police.
