Police: Shirley man seriously injured in Melville LIE crash

Authorities closed the Fresh Market on Main Street to shoppers for more than two hours as a precaution.
They say the man was in distress.
Police were able to diffuse the situation and the man was taken to Montefiore Nyack Hospital for treatment, according to authorities.
