A man is in the hospital after being attacked in Mott Haven, police say.

Police say at 1 a.m. Monday morning a 37-year-old man was assaulted on the intersection of Brook Avenue and East 149th Street. He's currently at Lincoln Hospital recovering from head injuries.

Police sources say this all started after a heated argument between a group of people and the 37-year-old man. The group got out of the car and so did the victim.

Officials are still looking for the people who did the attack and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
