A Brooklyn man was arrested Saturday for leaving his 10-month-old son in a car at a Valley Stream Walmart, according to police.
Authorities say Volodymer Krynytskyy, 42, left the child alone in the vehicle on Green Acres Road around 12 p.m.
Officers at the scene had to break the driver’s side window to rescue the infant. He was hospitalized and later released to a family member.
Police say Krynytskyy has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child. He is set to be arraigned Sunday in Hempstead.
