The NYPD has confirmed a police-involved shooting took place in Midtown Manhattan Monday afternoon.

The FDNY also says there was a stabbing at the same location - W. 42nd Street and 7th Avenue - around 4:30 p.m.

EMS transported five people to hospitals.

Citizen footage shows a large scene in Times Square near the Hard Rock Cafe.
