        Police investigate toy drone that crashed into Pequannock neighborhood

        Pequannock police and the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office are investigating an incident where a drone crashed into a residential neighborhood Thursday night.
        Police say that the craft was determined to be a hobby or toy type of drone and not a large commercial or military-grade drone.
        It was not immediately clear who the drone belonged to or if any property was damaged.

        The incident comes as New Jersey residents are on edge due to reports of dozens of large drones seen flying around the state.
        The incidents have lasted over the last few weeks and have baffled local, state and federal officials.
        Although the origin of these drones is currently not known, officials have consistently reiterated that there is no known threat to the public.
