Police say a construction worker has died as the result of a fall at home in Pleasantville.

Pleasantville police say authorities were notified of the injury of a construction worker at a home on Sunnyside Avenue just before 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Officers responded, and an ambulance and paramedics were dispatched to the home, police say.

Police say officers arriving at the scene found a man who suffered extensive injuries from a fall. He was soon after pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say they are “saddened by this tragic loss" and are asking for respect for the family and homeowner’s privacy.
