4h agoPolice say a Central Islip man has died after getting hit by a car on the Long Island Expressway.
Police say the incident happened Thursday just after 9:30 p.m. near Exit 57 in Hauppauge.
According to police, Jose Garcia Granados was on the road when he was hit by a driver in the middle lane.
Granados died at the scene.The driver stayed until officers arrived.
