A Brooklyn man is accused of assaulting a police officer Wednesday afternoon inside a West Hempstead bank.

Police say Dao Sheng Hong was attempting to withdraw money from a restricted account at a Capitol One bank. They say he became violent when an officer tried to arrest him.

An officer was injured and taken to the hospital.

Detectives say Sheng Hong also had numerous fraudulent documents.
