Police: 2 robberies minutes apart on Jerome Avenue

Police say the first incident happened around 2:45 a.m. near Jerome Avenue and East 213th Street.

The NYPD looking for the thieves responsible in two robberies that happened just minutes apart on Jerome Avenue early Sunday.
Police say the first incident happened around 2:45 a.m. near Jerome Avenue and East 213th Street. They say a driver was blocked in and surrounded by several men, including one with a knife who stole his chain before taking off.
About four minutes away, a 38‑year‑old man was robbed at gunpoint in front of 3112 Jerome Ave.
Investigators say two men jumped out of a white Honda Accord, pulled a gun, and grabbed the victim’s necklace before fleeing north on Jerome Avenue.
