        Police: 2 men critically injured in Yaphank crash

        Police say it happened at around 1:30 p.m. when a 2020 Audi Q5 was traveling eastbound on Longwood Road.

        Two men were critically injured Tuesday in a Yaphank crash, police say.
        They say it happened at around 1:30 p.m. when a 2020 Audi Q5 was traveling eastbound on Longwood Road. The vehicle struck a 2019 Ram pickup truck that was tracking southbound on the William Floyd Parkway.
        The driver of the Audi and a passenger were transported to Long Island Community Hospital in critical condition. Their identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
        The driver of the pickup truck, 59-year-old Scott Jacobsen, of Medford, was transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead for treatment of minor injuries.
        Detectives are asking anyone with information to call 631-852-8752.
