Two girls crossing the street were hit by an MTA bus on Monday afternoon.
Police say it happened just before 3 p.m. at East 167th Street and Grand Concourse. Two 11-year-old girls were crossing the street when an MTA bus driven by a 57-year-old operator collided with them. Police sources say the girls were not on a crosswalk. There were no passengers inside the bus at the time of the accident.
One of the girls sustained pain to the head but the other, fortunately, had no injuries. Both were taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem where they are expected to be OK. There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
