Police say a 17-year-old took out a knife and stabbed another 17-year-old in the arm and back following an argument Friday inside Macy’s at the Green Acres Mall.
Police say attacker then ran away but was found and arrested near the scene.
News 12 is told the 17-year-old victim was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.
The accused teen was charged with assault, burglary and criminal mischief.
This is the latest in a string of recently reported violence at malls on Long Island. Police say there was a stabbing at Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove in November, and a man was arrested at Roosevelt Field in December after he was accused of attacking several police officers.
News 12 reached out to Green Acres Mall for comment, but it referred all questions to police.
