A stabbing incident left a teenage boy seriously hurt Friday night at Roberto Clemente Park in Brentwood, according to police.
Authorities say the victim was sitting with two friends near a wooded area around 8 p.m. when four men approached.
The group began to punch and hit the 16-year-old. Two of the attackers also displayed knives.
The teen’s friends fled the scene in search of help, according to authorities.
Police say the victim was hospitalized with multiple wounds to his back. His injuries are considered serious but not life-threatening.
