        Police: 1 dead, 1 hospitalized in shooting in Highbridge

        Police identified the deceased as 17-year-old Andrew Mora. They say he suffered a gunshot to the chest.

        Police say a one teenager is dead and another was hospitalized after a shooting in Highbridge on Friday evening.
        It happened just before 6 p.m. on 1491 Macomb's Rd.
        Police identified the deceased as 17-year-old Andrew Mora. They say he suffered a gunshot to the chest.
        The other teenager was hospitalized and is expected to survive.
        News 12 spoke with a local resident who pointed out this happened steps away from a Blink Fitness and an elementary school, calling it a scary situation.
        "It was scary because I saw people all around and I was like, 'what's happening?' Because nothing like this happens around here," the resident who didn't want to share their identity said.
        The circumstances that led to the shooting were still not known as of Saturday evening.
