Playland Park is about to open once again for a season of fun, and our Lisa LaRocca is there this morning, where officials are saying this is going to be one of the best years yet here in Westchester. Yeah, can you believe this is going to be the 98th season? That's how long Playland has been here, this beautiful, iconic park. Let me introduce you to Adam. Adam, you started when you were 16 years old as a sweeper, right? Correct. I've been here for almost 46 years. Wow. And now you are the events manager, and, so there's nothing. Nothing about this place you don't know. No, I've been around for quite a few years and I've seen all the fun Cleland has to bring. So, and this year is going to be a great year from what I understand. Tell Talk a little bit about what everybody can expect this year. Well, they're going to expect to see the dragon coaster back open, you know, and Dragon wanted me to give you a little friend. Because he's going to be roaring in all his glory and making sure that it's open for everybody to enjoy and all the rides that we can get open will be open. And it will be a fun time for everybody. Yeah, it's exciting, and I, you know, last year was, was a rough year with, you know, partial openings, and, but now the county's back in charge and more than $150 million was spent for improvements and the place looks amazing. It hasn't looked this good in all the years I've worked here for, you know, the 46 plus years, and I'm happy to be a part of this beautiful. Historic place. It's, it really is beautiful. So, in the next hour we're, we're gonna go inside. Adam's gonna take us inside so we get a closer look. Now this weekend, uh, is the preseason opener, so, uh, we'll talk a little bit more about that, uh, so stick around. You wanna hear, but just gorgeous out here. Look at this cute little guy. This is Coaster, the Dragon Coaster mascot. Loving it. Hopefully you can ride the dragon. Lisa, little kiss from that.
